His first CD received a 5 star rating from Diapason magazine. He has made
regular appearances as a soloist both in France and abroad, including
performances with the Mexico State Orchestra, the Ausburg Camerata, EC of
Montreal, European Camerata of London, Musiciens de la Pree of Paris, and
the Philharmonic of Limoges.
In 1995, Nicolas Prost was appointed as principal saxophone in the
prestigious Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux,
directed by Yutaka Sado. In addition to his solo engagements, he is an
active chamber musician, as a member of the Emphasis saxophone quartet, and
the new Saxiana Trio.
Currently, he is professor of saxophone at Saint-Germain en Laye
Conservatory near Paris, and the author of numerous teaching methods. He is
the founder of the Interregional Saxophone Fstival, and Director of the 1st
International Competition in Limoges.
